His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Chairman of the Dubai Airshow Higher Committee, chaired the first meeting of the Higher Organising Committee of the Dubai Airshow 2023, to discuss the ongoing preparations for the launch of the 18th Dubai Airshow from 13 to 17 November.

The meeting was attended by Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chairperson of the UAE Space Agency, Eng. Omran Anwar Sharaf Al Hashemi, Assistant Minister for Science and Advanced Technology Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number of senior officials from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, the UAE Space Agency, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects, General Command of Civil Defense, Ministry of Defense, Dubai Police, Dubai Air Navigation Services, Dubai Airports, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Academic Health Corporation, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and Tarsus.

During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments, procedures and organizational preparations for the exhibition, where His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed praised their efficiency, and thanked and appreciated the concerned authorities for their valuable efforts aimed at enhancing the position of this pioneering event as one of the most anticipated events in the international aviation calendar, especially the emergence of the space sector in the activities of its 18th session as a key element for the future growth of countries and the aviation sector in general. The UAE has succeeded in transforming its great ambitions in the field of space and technology into reality through unprecedented achievements recorded in history, armed with the support of the wise leadership, its guidance and continuous follow-up, which is the basis of excellence, leadership and sustainability and promotion of achievements.
